New converse. Not only converse but SHEEP converse people! and pink!

New yarn. STR sock yarn in color Foo Foo with the exact same pink as my converse.

Nuevo estambre. STR en color Foo Foo con exactamente el mismo rosa que mis tenis.

My sockpal has her socks

I’m back from Orlando, well last week in fact but we had a great time, it was so much fun having all the family there. I ended a bit tired, we finished the days in the wee hours of the night (did you know that Magic Kingdom closes at 3 am on Friday) and I didn’t knit a stitch in all of the trip.

Ya regresé de vacaciones, bueno la semana pasada en realidad y nos fue muy bien fue muy padre tener a toda la familia ahí. Algo cansado también terminábamos los días en la madrugada (sabían que hay un día en que Magic Kingdom cierra a las 3 am?) así que no tejí un solo punto en todo el viaje.

Now I’m back to normal I need another distraction from my complete lack of progress in knitting, so here’s the package for my sockpal Scrabblequeen.

Ahora que ya todo regreso a la normalidad y para distraerlas de mi completa falta de avance en mi tejido les enseño el paquete que le mande a mi sockpal Scrabblequeen.

The package includes socks, leftover yarn, handmade stitchmarkers, handmade project bag, Glorias (traditional milk candy) and a card. And she loved it all, I’m really happy about it.

I just got word from my sockpal and she says that my socks will be mailed on Monday. I can’t wait.

El paquete tiene calcetas, el estambre que quedo, stitch markers, una bolsa para guardar proyectos hecha por mi, unas glorias (dulces de leche regionales) y una tarjeta. Dice que todo le gusto y que bueno me gusto mucho tejer esas calcetas.

También recibí un correo de mi sockpal y dice que me va a mandar mis calcetas el lunes, ya las quiero ver.

back again

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments in my last post. I'm really nervous, I hope they fit and that my sockpal likes them.

Gracias a todas por sus comentarios de las calcetas, en realidad estoy nerviosa y espero que le queden a mi sockpal y que le gusten.

I’m sorry too for the long absence, I’ve been feeling a little lethargic after reading the Harry Potter book and I’m still assimilating it, I can’t believe there won't be any more books. I really liked book 7 but I won't post any spoilers and I urge anyone who hasn’t read the series to do it, the books are really wonderful. I felt that some things were missing in the end but this chat with J.K. (do not read if you haven’t read the book) really gave me closure and now I can wait to the encyclopedia that J.K. is thinking about writing.

Lo siento por la larga ausencia, me he sentido un poco letárgica después del libro de Harry Potter y todavía lo estoy asimilando, no puedo creer que ya no va a haber mas libros. Me gusto mucho en general y no pondré nada de spoilers para no arruinarle el libro a nadie pero si alguien no ha leído la series la recomiendo muchísimo. Sentí que varias cosas quedaron al aire pero después al leer este chat con J.K. (no leerlo si no han leído el libro) me resolvió muchísimas dudas y ya puedo aguantar la espera de la enciclopedia de Harry Potter que J.K. esta pensando en escribir.

I really needed some comfort knitting and what better than socks in happy colors with a very cute picot cast on (great tutorial here). The yarn is self-striping and is Opal Feelings in color 1705.

En noticias tejeriles necesitaba algo que me levantara el animo y que mejor que calcetas en colores felices con una bonita montura de puntos en picot (excelente tutorial aquí). El estambre hace las líneas por si solo y es de la marca Opal Feelings en color 1705.

Is good that I have portable knitting because I’m going on vacation to Orlando with all my family. I’m really exited about it because Raz is coming too, I just hope I can cope with all my nieces and nephews in the park. See ya next week!

Y que bueno que tengo un proyecto portátil porque el jueves me voy de vacaciones a Orlando con toda mi familia. Estoy feliz porque Raz va con nosotros y espero aguantar a mi multitud de sobrinos en el parque, nos vemos la próxima semana!
