To remove the dust

Pattern: Embossed Leaves Socks from Interweave Knits Winter 2005
Yarn: Koigu Premium Merino (100% merino wool, 50g, 175 yds.) in 212713, 2 skeins.
Needles: Susan Bates US 1
Cast On: August 7
Cast Off: September 3
Mods: I changed the heel for the slipped stitch heel and made the ribbing a little longer.
Comments:
I’m fairly new to socks so the twisted stitch rib amazed me, is so stretchy and so much better looking than a normal 1x1 rib. I loved the lace, the volume of the leaves looks elegant and terribly complicate but is in fact simple and easy to memorize, by the time I did the heel of the first I didn’t needed to look at the chart. The color is great, subtly variegated pinks and purples and the Koigu is so widely praised on the web that I don’t need to add anything else. The toes follow the lace pattern for a beautiful and comfortable point (no kitchener!). I subbed the heel for the slipped stitch heel, because I love it since the SLLS but wish I had made them longer.

Boy it’s been a long time, I been working on the eternal sweater slowly (half a front and the collar remain to be knitted) I have promised no to cast on for anything new until I finish this.

Folded Bomber jacket

I also made an enormous progress on the Electra vest, I just need to finish one side of the neck and the ribbing of neck and arms, I even started to weave in the 2 million ends! (made a fairly good progress on that account).

I want to get these old projects ready for fall (if we have one) but mostly because I want to start 2 new sweaters and have them ready before winter: Salina for me and the Urban Aran for Raz (a la Jared of course ).

Que lindas se ven las calcetas! Yo quiero que haya koigu en crochet! :(
