Vacation Yarn

I went to Chicago with Raz and his brothers on the mexican equivalent of spring break (semana santa it is called for those who care). I loved the City, the food and weather was great, and it was all generally good but pretty uneventful, so I don't have much to tell.

I, of course, visited 2 lovely yarn shops (what's the point of going on vacation if yo dont get any yarn?). First was the Knitting Workshop ant it blew me away, it had an huge selection of yarns and were pretty well stocked on colors too, it has besides tons of books and decent selection of needles (lots of Addis). I got a million things: A Gathering of Lace by Meg Swansen, cream Jade Saphire 2-ply Cashmere, some pink Fino alpaca/silk blend lace weight, cerulean Cascade Sierra, green and brown Baby Ull and black Harris/Rowan Aran. All was very reasonable priced, (the cashmere and alpaca were on sale) and the staff is amazing, so helpful.

Yes I know, I went over my head, but thats not all then I visited Arcadia Knitting (wich is not close of knitting workshop no matter how close it looks in the map). They have all the yarns arranged by color and this is irresistible, you want to take it all. Here I just got some Gems Opal in green and red Blue Sky Alpaca sport (sadly my card has limits).

I fully recommend both yarn shops and leave you with yarn porn. Enjoy.

PS.I finished Orangina, the Weasley sweater and started a Clapotis, more this week.
