Pattern: "Odessa" from Magknits
Yarn: Gedifra Fashion Trend Fino, Colorway 5569, 1 ball.
Needles: Addi Turbo US 5
Cast On: February 2
Cast Off: February 5
Mods: I knitted the body and the rib with the same needles because i wanted a more fitted hat.
Comments: I just loved the pattern, it is very cleverly constructed with the perfect decreases to achive the tornado look. The only thing I'd change on this pattern is on the last beaded round: here you have to put the beads on the YO stitch, and I'd rather put it in the stitch before, so that the bead don't move and slide thru the YO.
I finished this during the superbowl last night and wore it inmediatly, luckly for me it's a bit cold right now so I can wear the hat without many people staring at me.
You did a fabulous job and your photos are impressive!!
...And I'm her proud boyfriend :)
hey navi, love ya!.... good job with the knitting blog...truly there are many other persons who can talk yarnish, who can understand that deep, mysterious skill that seems more appropiate to David Blaine....wicked stuff!
Thanks for visiting and your coments, It's so nice to hear feedback and I'm thrilled my blog is finally running. Grumperina I would love to be on your gallery and thank you again for the wonderful pattern.
Came out great- you take lovely pictures as well.
I can't wait to finish mine up~ I have a green that I am thinking for the next one, you have inspired me~
I love your Odessa. I'm threading my beads today. I just posted a picture of my yarn and can't wait to start tomorrow!
ohhhh this is it! I hum and ha'd about this pattern, I liked it but wasn't all that crazy about the colour choices in yarn....... that is until I saw yours!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I LOVE THAT COLOUR and it looks fab! Great job! I may steal your colour choice if you don't mind :)
Oh, I love it! I'm so happy you made one, I really wanted to see how it would look on someone with quite long hair, hehe :). Apparently it looks fab! About the last beading row - I went back and forth about where to put the beads, and at the end decided to put them as they are because it was a bit more symmetric, albeit more tricky to knit. Decisions, decisions! Anyway, your Odessa rocks, and would you like it to be in the gallery?
