As all who know me are aware, I have a new obsession: knitting. I get obsessed with diferent things quite often and and talk about them all the time for a few months and then I drop them completely. This has been true for most of my hobbies including piano, guitar, scrapbooking, french, collection of miniature food, cross stitch, chess, drawing, design, skateing, etc, etc, etc. There are 2 great exceptions to this: reading (which has been my passion since the age of 4) and photography, which I love but I make no new attempts to keep learning.
Now almost a year ago my first great obbsession of reading led me to knitting. It was natural, I just looooovvee the Harry Potter books, and I wanted to have a scarf to show it. In my head, the only way to be true to my love of the books was making the scarf myself. So I went with a friend of my mom's armed with boye needles and lion brand acrylic and started with clumsy fingers to make my first cast-on. It was a disaster. After a few classes I came up with a all-twisted-stiched- wavey and ridiculusly wide scarf. I decided that classes were not for me and decided to buy a book, and then Debbie Stroller came to my rescue with Stitch n' Bitch, and I started getting the hang on knitting, and casted on my HP scarf and other projects too, so before long the scarf was on second term to other projects: kitty hats, ipod cozies and armwarmers. I had become obsessed with knitting. Raz encouraged me (as always) to keep doing it, and praised me for his hand-knitted scarfs and hats, but he didn't really expected my enchanment with knitting to last long. But it did, and has been increasing to this day and standing on the same level as reading.
So to conmemorate my almost 1st aniversary of becoming a knitter I leave you with the geekiest quizz:

You are bamboo.
Warm, cozy, and thoughtful, you take your time and
enjoy how things feel, smell, and taste. You
love the craft and beauty of traditional
things, and you value the comfort and
experience of knitting as much as the results.
But while you are reveling in your warm cozies,
don't get stuck. Warm is wonderful, but so is
the whole wide world!
What kind of knitting needles are you?
